Eight cities are taking part in Commit2Green to
co-design and implement cross-scalar, participatory
greening and renaturing strategies at the
community level.
Commit2Green collaborates with 8 European cities to design and implement innovative, nature-based solutions that support climate resilience and urban sustainability. These cities serve as pilot sites for testing and scaling effective approaches.
Commit2Green places strong emphasis on participatory planning. Local stakeholders are actively involved in identifying needs, shaping solutions and co-creating greener, more inclusive urban environments.
At the heart of the project are nature-based solutions that address climate challenges such as heat and flooding, while enhancing biodiversity and the quality of urban life. Solutions are tailored to local contexts and developed in close collaboration with communities.
The project connects district-level initiatives with broader urban strategies, ensuring that green interventions contribute to long-term ecological connectivity and integrated urban planning.
